So sweet.  I saw this a few days ago on CrunchGear but have only had time to write about it now.. WAYY back in the day, when I was a young’in, I played D&D.  Yes I admit it. Course’, at the same time, I was just starting to learn guitar, and when I found I could get more attention as a musician then a D&D player, well that was that.  However, I still remember the books and dice and cool little figures that people would paint. (I never painted any, never got THAT far into it).

Anyway, on Microsoft Surface, you can play Dungeon and Dragons using figures! Also, no need to keep looking things up in books to decide what you need to do next much less having to keep track of hit points or any other data.  I placed a video at the end of this post, but if you look at the screenshot, you can see how it works. Very cool!  Of course, you need the MS Surface to play it, but I could see playing renting it out for a D&D game night or something like that.  What I’m not sure is how the DM (dungeon master) would control the game because there are times you need to look things up that you do not want the other players to see.  Unless the AI takes care of it, which would make sense. 🙂

Still, very cool, very geeky… however, I think I would miss throwing the dice. (^_^)  Check out the Vid below.
