\"Apple<\/a>Sound less then excited in my title?\u00a0 That is because I was.\u00a0 I have the original Pebble, the Pebble Steel and the original LG.\u00a0 The Apple watch is nicer then all of these, but only just a bit nicer.\u00a0 The screen is a bit nicer, but not much.\u00a0 I liked the round edges of the watch, but it still looked too big to me.\u00a0 The band was nice too, but I like the leather on the Steel better.\u00a0\u00a0 The OS was good as well.\u00a0 There are little things I really like that Apple has done, and I’m sure the rest of the watch makers, sans Pebble, will integrate some of these features in future updates. (Although Siri could be better.) But what was missing was the wow factor.\u00a0 And that is because Apple is late with something that is better, but not a quantum leap better than what we have now.<\/p>\n

I remember when I the first got the iPhone.\u00a0 I was impressed with it and after two days thought, wow, this is a totally new experience using a smart phone. (I’ve had my share of smart phones before Apple).\u00a0 I became a slobbering iPhone fanboy after that…. I got better. (cue python reference)<\/p>\n

I’m not disappointed with the Apple watch, I want to be clear about that.\u00a0 Its still beautiful and clearly the high water mark for what a smart-watch can be, but its not enough to make me go back to an Apple phone.\u00a0 And that is to my mind the mark of a great device..\u00a0 Something that is so good, I’m willing to switch phones for it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
