\"pebble<\/a>I finally got my Pebble watch after near a year from when I bought it on kickstarter.\u00a0 When I first bought it I figured, well there will not be many applications at first, but hopefully some core useful apps will come out.\u00a0 Now that I have the watch my reaction is .. meh.\u00a0 However, Best Buy is now selling them making those who have yet to get there pebbles pretty mad.\u00a0 But that is another post.\u00a0\u00a0 Lets have a look at what we can kinda call our top 100 apps for the pebble watch.<\/p>\n

1. Pushover<\/a> & IFTTT<\/a>: Android, iOS.\u00a0 This is my number one right now.\u00a0 If you cannot program, but what want more then just notifications from your phone, you can use IFTTT (If this then that)\u00a0 IFTTT is a service that allows you to set up simple rules to relating to other online services.\u00a0 For example, you can monitor a rss feed, and if a keyword appears, you can have an alert sent to yourself.\u00a0 Cool eh?\u00a0 However, I’m having issue with my iPhone4.\u00a0 I’m going to jailbreak it later this week to 6.1.2 and see if I can get it working better.<\/p>\n

2. LightFlow<\/a>: Andriod.\u00a0 This is very useful.\u00a0 You can control exactly what alerts will go to your pebble. There is a jailbreak hack called BTNotificationEnabler<\/a> that can do this.\u00a0 Not as fine control however.<\/p>\n

3. PebbleTasker<\/a>.\u00a0 Android.\u00a0 This app just got an update.\u00a0 What that apps does is allow you to execute a command or program on your Android by clicking of of the 3 buttons or click the middle button and get 20 more commands.\u00a0 Better, this is programmable based on profile.\u00a0 So if your droid has the headset plugin, you can have the top button set to start pandora.\u00a0 If its not plugged in, perhaps its set to calendar.\u00a0 Your call.\u00a0 Here are a few things\u00a0 have been using tasker <\/a>for.<\/p>\n

4. SmartWatch Pro<\/a> iOS:\u00a0 Until iOS7 comes out and fixes many of the issues with bluetooth, this will get you through. Add Calendar, Twitter and volume controls to the Pebble.<\/p>\n

5. PebbleMines<\/a> Minesweeper for the Pebble.\u00a0 I downloaded this one.\u00a0 Its pretty good.\u00a0 A very simple little game you can play. Also there is Chess if your into that on a watch. Chess<\/a><\/p>\n

6. Calculator <\/a>A calculator. Simple as that.<\/p>\n

7. Timer <\/a>A countdown timer. Useful.<\/p>\n

8. Watchface-Generator<\/a>. Android, iOS.\u00a0 This is not an app as much as it is a service that will allow you to create your own Pebble watch faces.<\/p>\n

9. SmartStatus <\/a>iOS Jailbreak.\u00a0 Notifications simply do not work very well in iOS even worse for pre 6.0 iOS versions.\u00a0 This app, which requires jailbreak and 6.0 or better, addressed this issue.<\/p>\n

10. RunKeeper. This could have been great, but its still basically the same app from when they first announce a partnership.\u00a0 Sigh.\u00a0 What I do like is you only get 3 readout.\u00a0 You cannot change nor customize anything.\u00a0 Hopefully this will change.<\/p>\n

11. MLB at bat<\/a>. iOS.\u00a0 I have not tried this and I think unless you are really into baseball, this has limited appeal.\u00a0 But I thought I was through it in at 11.<\/p>\n
