\"\"<\/a>We all remember the dust up around Siri and its refusal to give directions to an abortion clinic<\/a>.\u00a0 Well Iris, (siri spelled backwards) which is suppose to be an somewhat Android equivalent powered by ChaCha is far worse. Never mind not giving directions; ChaCha will quote scripture when asked if abortion is wrong.<\/p>\n

Q:\u00a0 Is Abortion wrong?<\/p>\n

A: Yes, abortion is wrong. The Lord said, ‘You shall not murder,” (Exodus 20:13).\u00a0 The life that is growing within the mother is a child, a baby.\u00a0 The Bible looks at the life in the womb as a child.\u00a0 Thanks!<\/p>\n

Wow.\u00a0 That is about as far over the line as you can get for a service that wants to be considered a competitor and thus neutral player to Siri.\u00a0 Although we have not heard back from ChaCha about this, odd are pretty high its the work of a single employee with an agenda.\u00a0 Now where is that employee on the org chart is another matter.\u00a0 At the end of this post is a video showing Iris in action.<\/p>\n

Now this is not a single question fluke; the website rightwingwatch.org (which sent out the email alerting us to the story) they asked a few more questions.<\/p>\n

It does not seem that all of ChaCha was manipulated to this pro life position as you can see in the following screenshot.<\/p>\n

Right now, many organizations are blasting Verizon for this issue, however I think this is misplaced.\u00a0 As with Apple having tweaked Siri, I have a hard time believing Verizon has made any efforts to change how ChaCha responds to this question.\u00a0 I would wager that in a week, this will be fixed.
