Not having GPS or ATT data on the iPod touch can be a limiting factor, especially when you want to use google maps for a trip… or is it?\u00a0 Well, I’ve written that GPS should be coming very soon, but I came across this post by 3amJosh<\/a> where he shows how you can store turn by turn directions for a trip and use without a web connection. Although you do not get a moving dot to tell you where you are, its still a great way to store driving directions.<\/p>\n

This trick could be quite useful for us iPhone users too.\u00a0 There has been times when I wanted to check on my next turn and have to wait for edge (much less 3G) to load.\u00a0 The next time I drive somewhere I’m not familiar with, I will employ this technique.<\/p>\n
