If this is the case, can Google adjust? Sure, I would bet with a little tweaking of the servers they will be running smooth in a week.  But for now, I’m going to be keeping a close eye out.  You never know, could be even more downloads as non iOS 5 users like myself start using the app.

Well today gmail web client went down for about 15min for some of us.  Could have been everyone but if that was the case twitter would have blown up.  I think it was a local ‘series of tubes’ issues because this site was down also.  However, I want not all that worried because I keep of copy of all my gmail in outlook locally.  And despite the GFail, I was still able to go back and search emails and pretty much go along as normal.

However, the clear thing is to make a Gfail image. I figured they would be everywhere, but no, I only found this one after a quick look..

Ok, next, we need to work this into the whale.

Some on twitter are suggesting we need a gfail icon as with the fail whale. A few suggested a gfail goat. Sure, why not? So I whipped something up really quick.

Also, I just heard from @mager via twitter that GMAIL basic HTML works. Did not test because the site came back as I was making the icon. HOWEVER… I have a lot of old duplicate email now. Grr….
