I keep responding to these posts, but here’s my best battery life yet. I took it off the charger at 10am today. Used it all day, 2 hours running navigation plus music controls in the car, checking emails and texts a few times an hour, responding to 15 or more texts from the watch, used QR codes on the watch to get into a party. It’s now almost 3am the next day and I’m at 41% battery! Couldn’t ask for more. Don’t need more.

I can confirm. I was really struggling to make it through a full 12 hour cycle and the last couple days I’ve finished the day with 40% left.

I made a post about this earlier but I am using the Moto360 with always on and now my watch outlasts my Nexus 5 battery. I’m easily getting 15 hrs out and active and get back home with 20% battery left.

Jailbreak app to greatly extend your iphone battery life. BattSaver https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2012/08/jailbreak-app-to-greatly-extend-your-iphone-battery-life-battsaver/ https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2012/08/jailbreak-app-to-greatly-extend-your-iphone-battery-life-battsaver/#respond Wed, 08 Aug 2012 23:32:25 +0000 http://www.perivision.net/wordpress/?p=7658 Read More]]> So before we start, let it be known I have not tried this. I have pretty good habits when it comes to keeping my phone charged so its pretty much a non issue. However, I know of plenty of people who always seems to be at 18% or something when I look at their phones. This post is for you. Again, this is more FYI then anything, I have not tried it yet. Although I am taking a trip soon… I may try it.

This post is from idevicenews

Step forward the BattSaver package, by well known developer and friend of the jailbreak community Xvolks, and backed by famous iOS jailbreak developer Pod2g. Cydia contains a number of battery managing tweaks which seem to be cleverly worded to give the impression of power improvement, but actually, what they do is just allow users to see what is draining the battery, view the maximum and current capacities and a few other bits and bobs that isn’t exactly useful to the user. BattSaver on the other hand makes the bold claim that it can double the battery life on the jailbroken device and provide a distinct and noticeable improvement to the user.

The power of the BattSaver package comes from its behind-the-scenes code that is intelligent enough to monitor the system and automatically switches off anything that is not being used and could be a potential battery drainer. You would actually be surprised at how many different things lie dormant on an iOS device, but still feel the need to consume battery life. The main selling point of this package is the efficiency which it claims to provide to the user. Given the fact that an iPhone has an almost endless amount of uses due to the ability to download additional apps from the App Store, battery life is imperative to that functionality. No battery means no usage, and that is why being able to double the battery life is such a valuable commodity.

BattSaver also comes with built-in power strategies that define how aggressively the device should cling on to that precious power. Ranging from normal to custom, each strategy has a different set of criteria which involves turning off all radios when not in use, as well as setting certain power saving mechanisms to kick in when the battery level reaches a certain percentage. If you have a jailbroken iPhone that is in dire need of some power conversation, then the BattSaver tweak is most definitely for you.

System Monitor for iOS5 without jailbreak https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2011/12/system-monitor-for-ios5-without-jailbreak/ https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2011/12/system-monitor-for-ios5-without-jailbreak/#respond Thu, 08 Dec 2011 00:09:39 +0000 http://www.perivision.net/wordpress/?p=6294 Read More]]> For jailbreakers, we have had access to system info for quite awhile now using SBSettings, and although this new app still does not have all the capabilities of SBSettings, at least its something; CPU, Memory and Battery Status. Before iOS4 users would not have to worry about such information. But now that more and more apps are running in the background, and we are running more and more depending apps, especially games, having the ability to monitor your iphones operating status could be useful in knowing why your iphone is slow, or not holding a charge.

There are a few other neat features.
CPU Load shows the load on your device’s processor as well as System information lets you know about your device’s unique id, MAC address, IP Address, device name and model, OS Version, CPU and Bus Frequency and your device’s last boot time i.e. last time when you switched on your device.

System Monitor with Battery Max 1.7 is $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category.

Time to port your iPhone app to iPad. Doors open on March 27th https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2010/03/time-to-port-your-iphone-app-to-ipad-doors-open-on-march-27th/ https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2010/03/time-to-port-your-iphone-app-to-ipad-doors-open-on-march-27th/#respond Sat, 20 Mar 2010 00:00:59 +0000 http://www.perivision.net/wordpress/?p=2767 Read More]]> This just came up in TechCrunch so I’m sure my email will be along soon. Apple is now opening up the door for iPad applications March 27. So.. How many apps will be NEW and and how many will be existing apps just reformatted for the iPad? Hmm… Almost all?

Well, at least at first. And it make sense this would be the case. In fact, I’m sure COCO programmers have already been into their code and prepping how they want it to function on the larger device using the emulator. And actually, I’m really interested to see how well this thing can handle ported 3D games.

There are going to be plenty of readers out there when the iPad drops on the third, but I think the real gold rush will be around games. There are tonnes of games on the iPhone, but the screensize has always been a limitation. So now image playing Spore seeing a nice large world to explore. Or SimCity where you can really appriciate the Art and see your whole city running. Or wanna play a board game? Well now, you have your board dont you?

All sounds great right?? The iPad will take gaming to the next level yea? Well… Lets calm down for a sec. We still do not know if the iPad is going to be powerful enough to handle rendering a larger screen graph. And its not just the larger size, but as with the SimCity example, there are more things to animate now that we can see more. And what about battery life? Sure the 3D demo they gave us was impressive, but was that rebuilt from the ground up or ported? I can bet you dollars to donuts ( and what the heck does that expression even mean? … Isn’t a doughnut more then a dollar now a days?) that the battery life will be WAY shorter if you are game playing.. Especially 3D.

Better game play will be my second reason for getting an iPad, My top reason for getting an iPad will be to remote access my desktop. And even then, I still plan on getting a used one.

iPhone suddenly losing battery life? Could be your email https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2009/11/iphone-suddently-losing-battery-life-could-be-your-email/ https://www.perivision.net/wordpress/2009/11/iphone-suddently-losing-battery-life-could-be-your-email/#comments Wed, 11 Nov 2009 22:14:45 +0000 http://www.perivision.net/wordpress/?p=2262 Read More]]> Just under a week ago, my iphone’s battery life took a nose dive!. It would be out of power in 3 to 5 hours instead of keeping over 80 at the end of the day. My first thought was I had some rouge apps running in the background. I turned off backgrounder.. Still dying. Killed GPS and removed the AT&T turn by turn directions app I just installed, nope, Killed 3G, killed WIFI, still dying. I was not sure what else to try, so I turned all my email updates off just to get through the day. THAT was it. Seems that something odd was going on with work email account which is connect via microsoft exchange server. The fix was simple enough, I went into setting and changed my work email from “Push” to “Fetch”. (you can find this under the advance tab of ‘Push’.) I have yet to change it back, but i will at some point just to test, but my battery life came right back to normal performance after I made the change.

So if your battery life suddenly goes south on you, try turning off email, or at least set everything to fetch. Could be the easy fix.
