I have not done anything is 2.1 in awhile. One thing you can try is put your phone is DFU mode. Should make writing to it easier. http://limitededitioniphone.com/how-to-put-the-ip… Else, if you are in 2.28, you should be able to jailbreak that with no issue. Hope this helps.

That's correct. To turn off the phone, hold the two buttons down and then slide the red button, should work.
