Not having GPS or ATT data on the iPod touch can be a limiting factor, especially when you want to use google maps for a trip… or is it? Well, I’ve written that GPS should be coming very soon, but I came across this post by 3amJosh where he shows how you can store turn by turn directions for a trip and use without a web connection. Although you do not get a moving dot to tell you where you are, its still a great way to store driving directions.
This trick could be quite useful for us iPhone users too. There has been times when I wanted to check on my next turn and have to wait for edge (much less 3G) to load. The next time I drive somewhere I’m not familiar with, I will employ this technique.
Video of how it Works!

Do i need wireless to use this Gps?
No, its basically a map with the route colored for you. No moving dot. but then, you do not need GPS or Wifi, hence the beauty of it.
